We are Simon and Sarah Phillpotts, we moved to Les Teyssonnières in early 2019, buying an old farm set in over 30 acres (12 hectares) of wildlife-filled oak woodland and meadows. We established Quercy Photo Holidays, a new photography business providing nature and landscape photography holidays with on-site luxury accommodation. We love the environment here with its wealth of species, the stunning local landscape, clean air and the great food, wine, heritage and culture on our doorstep – plus, of course, the sunshine!

Simon has worked for over fifteen years as a Professional Wildlife Photographer and Guide.  Originally based in the Yorkshire Dales, Simon established a successful photography business (Wild Dales Photography) running regular workshops throughout North Yorkshire.

Sarah has a background in biology, and is a keen naturalist, with a wide-ranging interest in European plant and animal species.  Sarah is also a keen cyclist and runs Quercy Bike Tours, offering guided bike trips around the Lot Valley.

Simon’s images have been Highly Commended in a number of photography competitions including the British Wildlife Photography Awards.  He has also been a finalist in Bird Photographer of the Year.  His images have featured in most of the UK’s national newspapers, the local press in Yorkshire and the North-East and a variety of books, calendars and magazines.

On TV he has appeared on BBC’s Countryfile with Julia Bradbury, Inside Out (North East and Cumbria), Escape to the Country and ITV 1’s The Dales with Ade Edmonson.

Simon is an f-stop Gear Brand Ambassador and currently uses OM-System (Olympus) camera equipment.

Simon and Sarah are guides for nature discovery tours in France for Wildlife Worldwide.
